As President Donald Trump announces a “framework for a future deal” with NATO amid his push for U.S. control of Greenland, Congressman Bill Keating says Trump signed his legislation into law last month that increases U.S. presence in the Arctic, including in Greenland.

“Impeaching a senior member of our government is not something I take lightly or a knee-jerk reaction to policy disagreement. Secretary Noem is stomping on the rules of our government and the very democratic ideals our country was founded on. She has proven herself repeatedly to be unfit for her job and should be held accountable,” Keating said in a statement.

Wareham for Law and Democracy is a local advocacy group and one of its founding members and local immigration attorney Manfred Wiegandt said Keating talked about immigrant visas, advocacy work and a bill he is co-sponsoring regarding Greenland.
